We have had and continue to have a strong commitment to our customer’s satisfaction. Our goal is to continue to strive for excellence in our work performance and customer relations. Our reputation in the boiler industry is one of honesty and reliability and we promise that we will continue to build on this in the future.
The origin of Expert Boiler Repair and Welding, Inc. dates back to 1928 when the company was originally founded by the Hagg family and called Marine Engineering. Our great uncle, Joe Neimeir, was an employee of Marine Engineering. In the early 1950’s the owners of the company offered to sell him the firm. Hence, Expert Boiler Repair & Welding, Inc. was formed.
Joseph Meszaros, Sr., a Hungarian immigrant, became employed at Expert Boiler in 1959. He learned the business from top to bottom and in 1974 he and another employee purchased the company. In 1995, his two sons Joseph and Christian Meszaros took control of the company. The company has continued to grow and has since formed two additional companies under the Expert Boiler Repair mantle. Punch N Vac Boiler Cleaning, Inc. and Expert Plumbing, Inc. We can now handle all your boiler related needs.
Company Staff
The majority of our employees have been with our company for 10 years or more.
We currently have 3 field foremen, all of which have 25 or more years of experience in both the repair and installation of boilers, a 3 man warehouse staff, Purchasing Agent, 5 office personnel and 23 field mechanics.
All field and warehouse personnel are certified with:
10 hour Occupational Safety and Health Assoc. (OSHA) certified
4 hour Scaffolding certification
Confined Space entry trained
FDNY G38 – Torch Operator’s Certificate
F93 – Fireguard Certificate
In addition, all of our welders are American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
certified in all welding positions, therefore X-ray quality welds are the norm.
